Echinococcosis
Echinococcosisis a parasitic disease caused by infection with tiny tapeworms. Primary areas of infection are among sheep-raising regions in Utah, California, Arizona, and New Mexico. Animals typically begin the infection, which can then be passed on to humans. Echinococcosis can cause harmful damage to the liver, lungs, and other organs over time.
