Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease caused by bacteria called Neisseria. In women, the most common symptoms are vaginal discharge, and pain or burning upon urination. Most women who are infected have no symptoms, but those that develop symptoms usually do so within 10 days of infection. In men, symptoms may include painful urination and swelling of the genitals. Men who are infected may have no symptoms and may not know they are infected.
